Buying a home can be scary for anyone, first time buyers, and even buyers who have purchase a home previously. Buying a home is the largest purchase most people will ever make in their lifetime. Homes are a huge investment, so the purchasing process can feel daunting. Many buyers don’t understand fluctuating Mortgage rates, submitting competitive offers, navigating a sellers’ market, and now having to deal with a pandemic. That’s a lot to manage.
Many buyers say they feel anxious about the home buying process in general. Some buyers tell me that purchasing a home gives them more anxiety than even having a tooth pulled, filing taxes, or the fear of commitment. Because the homebuying process can be scary, many clients I speak with say they have a fear that they may not be able to afford a mortgage. Also, some have expressed concerns about taking a hard look at their finances.
